War Child International is a family of independent humanitarian organisations which work together to help children and young people affected by armed conflict. War Child International exists to create the conditions that will fulfill the protection, development and survival rights for children and young people who are living with or recovering from the effects of armed conflict.

Working for War Child can mean working in 'the field', as a paid employee in our head office, as a volunteer or as an intern. But any way you choose, working for War Child means working on a better life for children in war affected areas.
Het imago dat War Child extern uitdraagt, is een blauwdruk van het werk op het hoofdkantoor: het is dynamisch, vernieuwend, integer en gericht op resultaten tegen lage kosten. Het kantoor is gevestigd in de sfeervolle Oranjekerk in de Amsterdamse Pijp.
Op het hoofdkantoor van War Child werken zo’n 62 betaalde krachten en rond de
6 stagiaires en 10 vaste kantoorvrijwilligers. Daarnaast zijn er in de verschillende regio’s nog zo’n 50 vrijwillige voorlichters werkzaam. Stagiaires en vrijwilligers vervullen een belangrijke rol bij War Child.

Stage omschrijving:

War Child is developing new approaches in collecting, analysing and using data to improve the quality of our work within conflict affected communities. Currently, War Child’s uses scorecards to measure the project results. Within the international office these results are analysed quantitatively and qualitatively. Throughout this process we develop the skills of our staff and partner staff to ensure our M&E capacity continues to develop.
Responsibilities
• Analyse quantitatively and qualitatively the result (outcome) scores and their justifications.
• Develop training materials for field staff on how to do an analysis.
• Train field staff through distance support in how to do an analysis.

Internship duration: 5/6 months from February
