Stage omschrijving:
Tasks:

• Generate quick revenue for each market assigned
• Training new hotels using getaroom.com extranet, explaining the loading rates process & availability system;
• Updating partner hotel´s activity on the extranet, loading rates, availability, promotions, etc;
• Check hotel websites and amendment of rates, availability, special promotions;
• Periodically check rate parity of hotels and assist to provide solutions;
• Contact registered hotel partners regarding the rates & availability system with the assistance of the Account    Managers Hotels;
• Assist contracting new hotels on getaroom destinations portofolio in Europe.
• Be in constant contact with hotels by e-mail and telephone;
• Benchmarking: Check competition in the local country.

Specifieke wensen:

Requirements:

• Good communication  and commercial selling skills;
• Team player, motivated and enjoy the sector of e-commerce and hospitality;
• A driven no-nonsense personality, together with a basic understanding of the hotel and travel industry is required.
• Previous experience in wholesaler / FIT contracting is a plus. Front office and reservations experience in hotels could also work in your favour.
• Fluent in English
• Roomrenting

War Child International is a family of independent humanitarian organisations which work together to help children and young people affected by armed conflict. War Child International exists to create the conditions that will fulfill the protection, development and survival rights for children and young people who are living with or recovering from the effects of armed conflict.

Het imago dat War Child extern uitdraagt, is een blauwdruk van het werk op het hoofdkantoor: het is dynamisch, vernieuwend, integer en gericht op resultaten tegen lage kosten. Het kantoor is gevestigd in de sfeervolle Oranjekerk in de Amsterdamse Pijp.
Op het hoofdkantoor van War Child werken zo’n 62 betaalde krachten en rond de 6 stagiaires en 10 vaste kantoorvrijwilligers. Daarnaast zijn er in de verschillende regio’s nog zo’n 50 vrijwillige voorlichters werkzaam. Stagiaires en vrijwilligers vervullen een belangrijke rol bij War Child.

Stage omschrijving:

De afdeling Voorlichting coördineert alle aanvragen voor voorlichters die binnenkomen. Organisaties die een actie voor War Child organiseren vragen een voorlichter aan. Ook scholen vragen regelmatig om een gastles te geven. De doelstelling van het geven van voorlichtingen is het Nederlandse publiek voorlichten over de problematiek van kinderen in oorlogsgebieden. En maatschappelijk draagvlak voor het werk van War Child vergroten. Voor War Child zijn evenementen een heel geschikt middel om voorlichting geven. Daarom zal tijdens de stage ook gevraagd worden om te ondersteunen bij de organisatie van deze evenementen, zoals 538 voor War Child.

Takenpakket

• Planning en evaluatie van voorlichteractiviteiten;
• Plannen en registreren van voorlichters voor acties en evenementen;
• Zorgdragen voor afstemming met de actiecoördinator;
• Relatiebeheer voorlichters via social media en platformen;
• Contactpersoon voor vertegenwoordiger actie/evenement;
• Onderhouden van netwerk van relevante formele en informele contacten m.b.t. voorlichting;
• Schrijven over voorlichtingsactiviteiten voor eigen communicatiemiddelen (o.a. website);
• Ondersteunen bij het organiseren voorlichterbijeenkomsten en trainingen;
• Ondersteuning bij het ontwikkelen, updaten en verspreiden van voorlichtingsmateriaal;
• Ondersteunen bij organisatie van War Child evenementen zoals 538 voor War Child;
• Presentaties voorlichtingen geven tijdens War Child evenementen;

Stage is voor minimaal 6 maanden voor 4 a 5 dagen per week en vanaf augustus / september
